THE APPEARANCE
Sarabeth is the perfect image of a southern belle with long, curly, blonde hair and spotless skin. She stands five foot seven and a half inches tall with grace and good posture. Her figure is quite light with her slim arms and long legs. Long lashes frame her sky-blue eyes – Sarabeth rarely uses much makeup, just some mascara here and there. She doesn’t really limit her wardrobe just to certain kind of clothes – everything is fine with her. She uses trousers and t-shirts as well as fancy dresses. She uses jewelry too – she’s often seen wearing necklaces and a family heirloom ring.
THE PERSONALITY
When you first meet Sarabeth, she might strike as the stereotypical Southern Belle from South Dakota. Her manners are admirable and she has been taught to respect her elders. She is very astute young woman who is not fooled by simple lies or punch lines. She is very bright, which is proven by the fact that she graduated from college in the top of her class. She’s not a bookworm though – studying and learning has always been easy for her. Beth is very friendly towards others and does not judge book by its cover so why should she judge a person by her/his appearance? She’s also quite witty, not afraid to speak up her mind. She has a great sense of humor and therefore she doesn’t get offended easily – and when she does, she usually just mopes around quietly. She has unforgiving nature though – if she has been lied to or hurt in any way, she doesn’t ever forget it even if she might forgive it.
Having a father and a brother as vampire hunters has brought certain skills to Sarabeth too. Her father has trained her to kill a vampire. She, however, doesn’t share the same killer instinct when it comes to vampires. On the contrary – she’s intrigued by them. Sarabeth was only a newborn baby when her mother was turned, so she doesn’t really remember her like her father and brother does and therefore doesn’t have a personal vendetta against them. They, however, try to keep Beth away from danger and most importantly – away from the vampires. She’s pretty athletic and enjoys jogging and kickboxing, so learning to fight vampires was easy for her. Her curiosity and interest in new and different things sometimes gets her in trouble, but usually she can handle it. She's also pretty outgoing and loves traveling around the country and often takes part on roadtrips arranged by her friends.
THE HISTORY
BIRTH PLACE: Sioux Falls, South Dakota
Sarabeth was born to a middle class family in South Dakota on 23rd of June 1993. Her family included already a six-year-old boy called Ryan. Sarabeth was the little evening star of the family and got pampered when she was newborn – everyone in the neighborhood wanted to spend some time with her. Sarabeth was only a few months old when she and her family were having an evening walk at the park. Her father and brother separated from them to get some food from the grill and little after that a dark figure showed up and attacked them. He drained Sarabeth’s mother dry and forced her to drink her own blood. After that he heard Sarabeth crying in her carriage and turned around. He managed to sink his teeth into her neck but never got quite far before he was chased away by her father – who, actually, was a vampire hunter but had settled down and found a job as an accountant to keep his family out of danger.
Doug was devastated when he learned that her wife had been turned. He was forced to kill her in front of his son and daughter. Then he took the children home and told them everything about these vulgar creatures of the night – of course, Sarabeth remembers nothing. He started to train Ryan while Sarabeth still played outside with her friends. Both Doug and Ryan swore to protect Beth until she’d grow up and join them. Little did they know that she had no intention to become a vampire hunter. Her father started to train her when she was seven, but Beth preferred to play with her friends, so he gave up and decided to train her later.
Five years later Doug succeeded to get Sarabeth training to slay a vampire. She was a quite lazy student but soon she already knew how to defend herself against vampires. They lived quite a peaceful life, so Sarabeth didn’t really have to kill any vampires at all – her father and brother however tried to lure them out and kill them, which often took them to another states leaving Sarabeth home alone with her babysitter, who also was a vampire hunter. As she grew, the nanny was left out of the picture and Sarabeth was given a silver ring as a family heirloom. Her father said that the touch of silver would burn vampire if she’d ever shake hands with them. Since then she has worn the ring – not because she’s suspicious but because it belonged to her mother once.
Studying came easy for her and since the first grade she has always been in the top of her class. In her early school years she decided that she wanted to be history teacher. This dream followed her to college and after that she enrolled to university to study history. She took also a job as a bartender since she needed money to cover her tuition and newly let apartment for herself – no, she didn’t want to live with her father and brother anymore and moved from Sioux Falls to Vermillion. She has been going on roadtrips with her friends pretty often and has probably visited almost all states.
