THE APPEARANCE
Standing at exactly six feet, one would not venture to say that Bee is small by any means. Her body is very athletic and slim, more of a well-kept machine than anything else. Her eyes are a light blue color, and her hair is blonde and long. Bee often picks her outfits for their function rather than aesthetics and most often wears clothes such as long sleeved shirts and jeans. When hunting, Bee wears a long jacket with anything she may need concealed beneath it. She's also more likely to be wearing silver jewelry at that time. Seeing her in a dress is a rare occurrence, and the few times she has actually worn one have all been because that was required of her. If one were to see Bee completely unclothed, they would notice an abnormal amount of scarring, the hazards of being a hunter who makes stupid mistakes.
THE PERSONALITY
Reckless would be the main describing word that anyone would attribute to Bee. She’s been trained to test and often surpass her own limits, and as such will resort to stupid actions to achieve her goals. With her reckless behavior comes a certain annoying stubbornness, Bee refuses to admit she’s wrong or made a mistake most of the time. Despite these shortcomings, she likes to boast that she has “never made the same mistake twice,” which she considers to be something that most people don’t achieve.
Bee isn’t someone who makes a lot of friends due to her life as a vampire hunter, both due to trust issues and just the fact that she’s often moving around. One could say that Bee is exceptionally brusque; she has been said to have no tact whatsoever. Having never seen the point of lying to make someone else feel good about themselves, Bee long ago gave up the idea of even trying to get close to someone else.
THE HISTORY
BIRTH PLACE: Alaska
When she was young, far too young to remember, Bee’s mother was killed. While having no memory of this herself, her father, already an established vampire hunter, had made sure to account Abby’s death to vampires. As a child, Bee followed her father’s word exactly; the man was a god to her. And what Daniel wanted most was for his daughter to follow in his footsteps, and become a hunter.
Though she didn’t feel the hate that her father did, Bee began training with Daniel when she was ten, though the training they did was especially harsh on a child. In recent years, Daniel had turned to drink as a way of coping with his wife’s loss and Bee’s training sessions became an outlet for the aggression he felt. Even when she would tell him that he was going too far, Daniel would simply reiterate the fact that, when facing a vampire, Bee would not get the luxury of anyone softening up for her.
By the age of thirteen, questions arose about the number of absences Bee obtained, and Daniel had her drop out of school with the guise of ‘homeschooling.’ The training sessions thus increased in both length and frequency and soon Bee was tagging along with her father as he hunted. At this point in time, she was never very involved in the actual act of killing a vampire; Bee was simply an observer of what she would be expected to do.
Time passed by quickly in her life, Bee continued to train as her father instructed though she never felt any of the animosity towards vampires that he did. The only attempts on anyone’s life that she had seen by vampires had been purely in self-defense and Bee believed that this was proof that being a vampire did not simply make one evil. If she voiced this to Daniel, however, Bee knew from experience that he would enact what he called ‘pain sensitivity training,’ which amounted to little more than Daniel beating Bee until she blacked out. While this was effective in deadening her reaction to pain, it seemed a bit excessive.
The day she turned eighteen, Bee was given an assignment to kill a vampire. It took her a few months to properly put her plan into place, but she succeeded. Instead of a feeling of accomplishment, Bee felt hollow; in her eyes, what she had done was nothing short of murder. To cope with this feeling, Bee disassociated herself with what she was doing when hunting, fearful of dealing with her father’s rage if she gave up on hunting. As the targets were given to her, Bee completed them as was her duty though she still had obvious issues with her own actions. Mistakes that were commonplace soon became rare as she settled into her role.
