THE APPEARANCE
Tara is a slender young woman with chocolate brown hair that forms natural, soft curls. Her eyes are a deep hazel in color, nicely accented by her dark, long lashes and slender brows. Thanks to plenty of yoga and jogging, Tara's posture and muscles are very nicely formed. She stands at an average height for her age, which is about five feet and six inches.
THE PERSONALITY
Growing up, Tara was always a very social girl who never let anything or anyone stand in her way. She was always energetic and outgoing, easily making friends with just about anyone. She was always a risk taker and, looking back, she knews she did some pretty stupid things. Since the death of her best friend though, she's changed somewhat.
Perhaps it's the lingering guilt that has been hanging over her head since the night she let her best friend leave a party they were attending. Whatever the reason though, Tara has become a little less social, dreading parties and going out clubbing with friends. She's more determined than ever though to succeed and get through school. Instead of putting her energy toward risk taking now, Tara prefers to put it towards yoga and jogging, which she also uses to help herself vent when the need arises.
THE HISTORY
BIRTH PLACE: Pennsylvania
Tara had a perfectly normal life, growing up. She was her mother's angel and her father's pride and joy. From day one, her older brother, Eric, watched over her like a hawk. She was never as close to anyone though as she was to Logan Harper.
Since their first day of kindergarten, Tara and Logan were inseparable, always together through thick and thin. Nothing ever came between the two girls and they remained best friends until high school. The Harper's home was Tara's second home, even Logan's odd, older brother. That boy had always put a little too much faith in his crazy, old grandfather's war stories. Though Tara never ignored him and always got along with him, like she would with her own brother, she also never really noticed him as the guy that he really was, as if he was in the background rather than the foreground.
Tara and Logan were always on the high end, the definition of social butterflies. In fact, Tara could hardly remember a Friday night throughout high school in which they didn't go to some party or having some sort of girl's night. Logan always knew how to make Tara happy when she was feeling down. She was an amazing young woman who got along with just about anyone and Tara just couldn't imagine life without her best friend.
Tara never forgave herself for what happened to Logan. It was just after graduation and they were attending their last party before they would head off to college. Tara and Logan had decided to go to the same school in New York, just as they had always dreamed. That dream was crushed that very night though when Logan left the party with a guy that Tara had never even seen before. Though Logan claimed she had seen him around before and insisted that she knew him and would be fine, Tara still thought there was something strange about him.
There was no stopping Logan though. Once she got an idea in her head, there was no stopping her. After insisting that she would call Tara the next morning, Logan was led away from her best friend by the hand of the strange man. No call came the next morning, nor the morning after that. Instead, a call came from a very upset Mrs. Harper.
The search went on for three days before Logan's body was found. The hope that Logan was okay and out there somewhere was completely crushed, as was Tara. It was like having her heart ripped out of her chest and shredded into a billion pieces. She never hugged Mark Harper as tight as she did the day of Logan's funeral. He was the one she could relate to the most that day. They had both lost a sister.
Time may have continued on, but Tara never quite got over her guilt. She should have stopped Logan... she shouldn't have let her leave the party, alone, with that guy.
Shortly after Logan's death, Tara left for college, without Logan, to live their dream alone. It wasn't what Tara wanted, but things slowly started to progress. Tara took up a major in web design and, though she made some fairly close friends, none could come close to being like Logan. Now, working as a waitress in a local diner, Tara still attends college and still hasn't quite let go of Logan.
