Florida was perhaps the favorite of Amelia's all territories. It would've been even better if she actualy could've walked in the sun, lay on the beaches of Miami and shop all day. But unfortunately she was most familiar to the night life and midnight swims. Even though she had settled down in Florida, she had to travel around to see how her territories were doing. She actually liked traveling too – with a brand new dark red Alfa Romeo the journey was done pretty fast. Yeah, Amelia had spent her money on a new car after the old one got too broken.
This night she was heading out to see what the warm Florida nights had to offer. She had heard that there was a bonfire party in Miami Beach. Since the weather was calm, it was more than just a hunch that there would be a big group of people there – it was actually knowledge. Miami Beach parties were quite popular amongst the youngsters as well as older adults. If they were over 45, they were probably creeps. Yes, Amelia was one to say, being nearly 400 years old. Luckily she still looked young and according to her driver's licence, she was still 23. The only question left was what to wear.
The night was still young and the party mood was at it's best when Amelia arrived to Miami Beach at midnight. She had gone through her whole wardrobe before and finally found the perfect outfit – light lavender dress with a thin black belt. It seemed just right for the beach party. What Amelia smelled first when stepping out of her car was the sweet scent of young blood pumping in their veins. Darn she was hungry and did not intend to leave without a bite from someone. Normally she just drank from those who were offering their blood to her or bloodbags sneaked from the hospital but now – now she just had to had it here, fresh from their veins.
The only point wasn't to feed on someone though. The reason why Amelia had gone to the party was because of the atmosphere and the fun. She didn't exactly know anyone there and did not know if some of her friends were or would be there. It didn't matter though – she was quite social and usually got to know a bunch of new people while she was out. But first she needed a drink. "One Mai Tai, please." She stared at the bartender for a minute, smiled and got her drink almost immediately. Then she turned around to see the people around partying hard.
