THE APPEARANCE
Andrew is a tall and slender young man with a good deal of muscle. His brown hair is always kept short and he often has a bit of stubble on his face. He never lets his facial hair grow in too much though and keeps it nicely trimmed. The most striking of Andy's handsome features happens to be his magnificent, blue eyes.
THE PERSONALITY
Charming and all around goofy are perhaps the best words you could use to describe Andrew Hepburn. He's lovable, even as a vampire, though he has a slight fear of commitment. It's not uncommon for him to have one-night stands in which he either sneaks out the window or gives some sort of excuse to get the hell out of there.
Despite his fear of commitment, Andrew was raised by his mother to be chivalrous. That being said, he never gives up the opportunity to open a door for a lady... although, that could also just be because he wants to check out their ass.
This young vampire is far from confrontational and is always looking for the backdoor as an escape route from any and all arguments. It's rare that Andrew gets angry and he could certainly be considered an open minded person. He would never do anything to intentionally harm another.... minus the whole blood sucking and biting thing. After all, he needs blood to survive.
THE HISTORY
BIRTH PLACE: North Carolina
CHANGED: 2011
Andrew was a mistake. He was born to a teenage couple who just weren't prepared for parenthood. Their own parents, who were very religious, left little to no choice for them in the idea of marriage. With the help of Laurel's parents, the couple and their young son were able to move into a small apartment, though things were far from perfect.
John Hepburn struggled with jobs and would go through months of unemployment, forcing Laurel to work more than one job at a time. There were even times that Laurel would seek out financial assistance from her parents, though she never told John this. He was too proud. More often then not, Andrew would go home to his parents arguing. There were times that it was so bad, his father would leave for a few days, only to come home smelling of alcohol, or one of Andrews grandparents would come to pick him up to spend some time with them. Though Andrew was loved by both sets of grandparents, deeply, there was much strain between his parents and grandparents, with Laurel especially.
Things got better though and, eventually, the family was able to get on their feet. Andrew was twelve years old at the time. His father had a good paying job and, after having gone to the local, community college, Laurel started working in the journalism industry, eventually writing a best selling novel. During this time, John and Laurel planned to have another child, especially since John had given up drinking and they were able to financially and emotionally support themselves.
It seemed to Andrew, who was a sweet but troublesome boy, that there was no longer room for him in his parents new and happy life once Liam was born. His father, who had never quite had time for Andrew, suddenly had plenty of time for Liam. Andy's teen years were full of never-ending fights and arguments with John. Andy never held any sort of grudge toward his brother though and was surprisingly close to him.
The first chance Andrew got, he high tailed it out of his parent's house. He spent a few years going to college and, the day that he gradated was perhaps the first time he ever felt a real connection with his father. It was the first time he ever said he was proud of him. The next day, Andy packed his bags and traveled Europe, despite the little amount of money he had.
It was his father's death that brought him back to the United States and back to reality. After the funeral, Andrew sank into a deep depression, but he hid behind a mask of his former self and sought out to drown his anger and depression in alcohol. Maddox Ehren changed that though. Nearly having been beaten to death outside of a bar one night, Andrew was found and changed. Maddox taught him everything there was about being a vampire and continues to do so to this day.
