[style=font-family: arial; font-size: 30px; text-shadow: 0px 2px 3px #666; color: #cccccc;]I CAN NOT BE FORSAKEN - - - because i'm not the only one Though the night was dark and cold, Liliana hardly noticed the chill in the air. The last time she had ever been cold was long before, during her last few moments as a human, just before the sweet taste of blood seeped between her more than eager lips. Usually, the vampire queen of Illyri had a number of guards around her, or at the very least, her own coven members, but that night was one of those nights that she sought out not only fledglings who insisted on wreaking havoc, but solace as well.
Liliana may have been on the younger side of being a vampire, but she was still strong and knew how to fight and fend for herself. Liliana's footsteps were completely silent, even in her black, heeled, knee-high boots. All of Illyri's fledglings and masters knew full well that they were to stay out of Rivorn for the time being, until an agreement could be made between the two territories. The lead covens were to be patrolling the borders to ensure that no fights should break out between any of the fledglings. Liliana had already had to send two of her fledglings back to Illyri that night and four the night before.
Lily fit in well among the city dwellers. It was a Friday night and she wore a pair of tight jeans that were stylishly torn and tucked into her boots. A green, long-sleeved shirt that hung off of her shoulders was covered by a leather jacket as her auburn curls flowed down her back like a fiery waterfall. As the night wore on and humans slowly started to seek out their beds in a drunken stupor, Liliana weaved her way in and out of alleys and seemingly empty streets. The world had changed since Lily's human days, but not as much as some may have thought. Traditions, style and other such things may have changed drastically, but humans were still the same. Had Lily been a human woman wandering the streets the way she was at night, it would have been an invitation for trouble, just as it had been during her time. The very thought made even her cringe.
A dog was howling in the distance, followed up by the sound of a man yelling at it to shut up before he slammed his window shut. Car horns and sirens echoed throughout the city, but otherwise, Lily was alone as she walked through an abandoned alley, her hands tucked into the pockets of her jacket. Stopped dead, she lifted her chin, repressing a chill. Someone was watching her. A vampire.
"Liliana..." he said. Just from the sound of the all too familiar voice, she could tell that he was smile. She hadn't heard his voice nor since his face since her last few moments as a human, just before he left her to die, just like her family. Slowly, she turned to face him, her expression impassive as her green eyes took him in. Her body was rigid and for a moment, she kept her mouth shut, not saying a word.
Henry approached her slowly, his hands in the pockets of his jeans. The way he looked her over made her want to cover herself up, an unfamiliar feeling to her, or at least, unfamiliar since she was human. "Let me guess..." he said, his eyes flickering up to hers. "It was Ros, wasn't it? I knew I should have been more careful."
"You rotten, son of a bitch-" Lily started to say, but he was suddenly in front of her, holding a finger to her lips. "Be quiet, my love, you'll ruin the moment." Fangs shooting out in pure anger and rage, she knocked his hand away. Even just the slightest touch from him made her feel ill. It was worse than being silvered. "I believe the moment was ruined back in 1892,"
A laugh echoed around her, mocking her as Henry tilted back his head. "Is that what you think?" he asked her, looking down again and smiling. "Sweetheart," he said, as if it had been just yesterday that he charmed his way into an engagement with her. Coming closer still, he tucked one of Lydia's curls behind her ear, a display of affection that Lily had once swooned over. "It was an accident, I promise, it won't happen again..." His casualness over having murdered her entire family sickened her and a moment later, she had him on the ground as she kneeled over top of him, her hands around his throat.
[/b]"You're right,"[/b] she said, grabbing hold of a nearby piece of pipe that would easily pierce his heart. "It won't happen again..." Before she could stab him through the heart, Henry caught her wrist just in time. In a blur of motion, he had her shoved against the wall of the alley, pinned by the wrists. "You're just as feisty as you were when you were a girl, Lily," he said, snapping playfully at her face, his fangs exposed as she practically hissed at him. "Fuck you!" Lily spat at him, unable to get out of his death grip. A moment later, her head snapped to the side as he backhanded her across the face, causing her lip to start bleeding. "Your mother and father wouldn't appreciate that language..." A slick smile crossed his face, like he knew he was getting under her skin. He enjoyed hurting her, he always had. For a moment, she completely forgot about her position of power and the abilities she had. In that moment, she felt as helpless as she had when she was a human. She could remember the way he sank his fangs painfully into her neck, but mostly, she could remember his touch and the way he violated her. The very thought made her sick and she found that she couldn't so much as move. For the first time as a vampire... she was mentally freaking out. "I have to say, Lilly, I miss you being a human..." Henry said into her ear, his lips brushing against her skin. His body pressed in on her and she felt as though she were being suffocated. "...your smell.... your taste... your scream..." Lily couldn't take it anymore. The memory of what he did to her was unbearable. Pulling up her leg, she kneed him right in the balls, causing him to drop her as he fell to his knees in pain. "Idiot," Lily said, her senses coming back to her as she fell and started to run down the alley. Henry was faster though. Before she could get the hell away from him, she was stopped by a terrible pain, searing her neck and causing her to scream and fall to her knees. "There's that scream," Henry said, chuckling. He was wearing a pair of black, leather gloves, holding onto the silver chain that he had thrown around her neck. Her scream echoed through the streets and tears of blood stung her eyes before rolling down her soft cheeks. Using the thick chain, Henry dragged Liliana with it as she squirmed in pain. Using the chains, he wrapped them around her wrists before chaining her to the fence at the back of the alley. She cried out in pain, silently cursing herself for having frozen up. She could have taken him on; she could have fought him, like she hadn't been able to do before. Instead, she freaked out and now she was going to die for it. Weakened by the silver, she sat there, every movement causing her pain. Squatting down in front of her, Henry took the side of her face in his hand and wiped away the blood trailing down her face with his thumb as she glared at him. "Ros should have just left you to die..." Henry said, unzipping her leather jacket. His eyes were gleaming and, his hand slid to the back of her head. Forcing her to tilt her head, he leaned in, sinking his fangs into her in a way that wasn't exactly gentle or loving. As she squirmed and cried out in pain, he only sank his fangs in deeper and more painfully... [/div] 1,369 WORDS FOR MADDOX LORCAN EHREN LYRICS ARE FROM FORSAKEN BY DISTURBED [/style][/center]

You're steady as I come undone
But I'll keep my promises, I won't let you down
Cold. It was not something the blond vampire had thought about very often. The difference between hot and cold was a thin line anymore. Maddox had other things to think about anyway. Like the screaming of a woman that bounced in and around his skull. For whatever reason it didn't annoy him as much as he thought it would. As twisted as it was, the noise almost pleased him and an unwelcome shiver paced its way down his spine. He pulled his arm out and looked at the silver platinum watch on his wrist. He wasn't running too late, whatever caught his interest was not the luckiest of woman, and with a slight smirk, he was off in a blur.
Rivorn was Maddox's. He owned everything and everyone in it, atleast.... that's how he saw it. He owned the biggest shipping company in the U.S. and made money hand over fist. He didn't need his vampire skills to intimidate himself into wealth, he was smart enough to do things a better way. He was smart, and cautious. Almost too cautious when it came to doing things, which was good and bad in separate ways. As he made his way toward the screams and scuffling he thought of Liliana out of habit in thinking of cautiousness. The treaty hadn't been final, in fact he had been expecting to see the Queen of Illyri sooner rather than later to sign a few papers just to make sure it was official.
Rounding the corner, the blur came to a abrupt halt. His eyes widened slightly, and a snarl ripped suddenly from his throat. He remembered telling everyone in his coven to leave the Illyri coven alone... this including the Queen herself. Maddox was dressed in a gray suit, unbuttoned with his black dress shirt underneath. He had just left the office and hadn't gotten a chance to change. He practically snorted when he realized it was Henry attacking Liliana. Despite the smell of Liliana's blood, Maddox lurched forward, catching the back of Henry's head and yanking it back, his blue eyes staring deadly as he looked down at one of the master's in his coven. His fangs slid out in pure rage, pulling the vampire away from his prey as he roared, "I STRICTLY remember telling you and everyone else not to touch, NO. Not to even THINK about the Illyri till we got this treaty sorted out. And what the FUCK DID YOU DO!? You fucking bit the Queen!" He said, booming with rage as he threw Henry away from him in disgust. Maddox had a temper when the creature's below him couldn't follow simple instructions. His eyes flashed toward Liliana, and he moved forward, pulling out a handkerchief before pulling the silver away from her, a blank expression in his eyes as he looked her over. He said nothing, his lips set in a frowning grimace. He was kneeling over her for a moment, just watching her before he stood up again, his black dress shoes crunching in the gravel as the strode back toward Henry with a purposeful stride. He picked him off of the ground by the shirt and shoved him hard against a building wall, he was seething. "I don't care if she fucked you over royally. Do Not Touch Her. Do as your told for once, before I stake you myself." He growled and dropped the man, looking down with a bitter look in his eyes. "Get out of my sight before I revoke your rights." He spat at the ground before growling low in his throat.
He turned away from the battered master, drawing in a cleansing breath while running a hand through his blond hair as if he were stressed about something. His blue eyes reappeared on Liliana's figure, and he blinked a few times before exhaling. In a blurred motion, Maddox was standing over Liliana, looking down at her, watching her as her burns healed from the silver healed, though slower than normal. His blue eyes seemed to hold some sort of pity, but for once he smiled down at her. It wasn't much, he didn't show teeth, but it was something at least. "Can you ever walk down the streets without getting into something you shouldn't?" He said, arching a brow in a devilish way....

[style=font-family: arial; font-size: 30px; text-shadow: 0px 2px 3px #666; color: #cccccc;]I CAN NOT BE FORSAKEN - - - because i'm not the only one Never before had Liliana Wakefield been happy to hear the voice of Maddox Ehren. She was so relieved by his interjection that she forgot to even be the slightest bit humiliated by the situation she was in. Liliana's neck continued to bleed as Henry was yanked away from her. Even he had trouble holding back a cry of pain as the older vampire pulled his head back. His fangs slid back in and he licked the blood from his lips almost nervously. "I can explain..." he said, but no excuse would get Henry out of this one and he knew it as he attempted to stutter out a response. He went quiet, swallowing as he was chastised by his king. He watched solemnly as Maddox released Lily.
Lily had nothing to say as Maddox knelt over her and even if she did, she quite frankly didn't have the energy to speak. Her fangs slid back in and she couldn't help but cry out as he pulled the silver away from her skin. Her green eyes stared at him for a moment as he stared at her before he went to take care of Henry. In all honesty, Liliana wished he would have staked Henry right then and there. Then maybe she would never have to think of his hands on her ever again or the way he heartlessly murdered her entire family and left her to die. Wincing, the vampire queen pushed herself to her feet, observing the damage of her slowly healing wounds. Blood stained her shirt and neck and she looked up once more as Henry held onto his king's wrist as he held him against the wall.
Henry had nothing to say to his king and, when he finally released him, he gave one last fleeting look to Liliana before fleeing the scene. Touching her still bleeding lip, Liliana looked from where Henry ran off and then back toward Maddox, blinking when he was suddenly right in front of her. She was somewhat distracted and off balance from her loss of blood and the silver. It was getting too late to go off hunting though and Liliana knew that, in her weakened state, she wouldn't make it back to her home by the time the sun came up.
Despite the circumstances and despite her dislike for the vampire king of Rivorn, a hint of a smile twitched at the corners of her mouth. "Apparently," she said, rolling her eyes at his comment and then zipping up her leather jacket to hide the drying blood and bite marks. "Sorry..." she said, the word tasting odd in her mouth. She wasn't use to apologizing to Maddox Ehren and, for a moment, a dazed look crossed her face and she nearly fell over. She had lost more blood during her encounter with Henry than she had realized and the dizziness was becoming unbearable. 483 WORDS FOR MADDOX LORCAN EHREN LYRICS ARE FROM FORSAKEN BY DISTURBED [/style]

You're steady as I come undone
But I'll keep my promises, I won't let you down
Maddox's smile slipped away from his face and he continued to gaze at her, knowing Henry had left to sulk somewhere else. He was remotely confused by her answer, and her tone... defiantly her tone. He swallowed rather harshly, like he had tasted something bad and then opened his mouth, hoping to break the awkward silence. The blond vampire wasn't really accustom to helping women, especially not women vampire. They always made it seem like they were fine, but Liliana... well she seemed a lot different than he was used to. Before he could even ask if she was alright, she tipped to the side and almost fell. Maddox jumped and grabbed the Queen by the shoulders, his face shocked as he steadied her.
"Liliana?" He said, looking at her foggy eyes. He arched a brow quickly, and then looked to the sky. Fuck. He knew what time it was, or at least he thought he did. How did the time go by that fast? He looked down frantically now. The Queen was in no manner to go waltzing around looking for something to eat to gain her strength back, and he was the only one around to help her. The sun would be rising sooner rather than later and the last thing he wanted was the treaty to go to shit because he let her die.
The thought of her feeding off of him didn't even cross his mind because well, he didn't find that a suitable answer. Instead, Maddox let go of her one shoulder and ran a hand through his hair as he looked away for a second, trying to think of something to do. He could find someone for her, surely another vampire would be willing. A human even, he could help her find someone to tide her over. He groaned slightly and then his eyes flickered back toward her. "Come with me." He said in a hesitant voice. "Your in no condition to get back home... not yet at least." He said flatly.
He hesitated once more, but reluctantly took her hand and forced her to follow him. He didn't really want her in his home, so he would take her to his company office until the next night had fallen, by then she would feed, heal and they could settle on a treaty....

Vaguely, she could hear him saying her name but the only response she could muster was a shake of her head. She felt sick and was just about to slide back down to sit against the fence when he took her hand and started to lead her away. His hand in hers left an oddly electric feeling running up and down her arm, but she was too sick to even register this or where on earth he might be leading her. For all she knew, he could have been leading her to her death. In her weakened state though, she had no choice but to trust him and let him guide her.
It seemed to be taking an agonizingly long time for them to get to wherever it was they were going and Liliana was growing ravenously hungry. "I need to sit..." she practically begged Maddox, her usually strong and fast body shaking and feeling as though it were made out of jello. Her wounds were nearly healed, but that didn't change the fact that sh was running low on blood. Henry had taken more than she realized and the shock of having seen him didn't help a single bit.
Practically falling to her knees, she didn't even register the pain and looked up at Maddox breathlessly. "Where are we going?" she asked him, narrowing her eyes. Even in her condition, she seemed suspicious of his intentions. She was still holding onto his hand, even as she knelt on the ground. 483 WORDS FOR MADDOX LORCAN EHREN LYRICS ARE FROM FORSAKEN BY DISTURBED [/style]

You're steady as I come undone
But I'll keep my promises, I won't let you down
Maddox grunted when she forced him to slow his already slower pace. He had to halt to a stop after she swayed and fell to her knees, straining his arm straight as he refused to let her hand go for fear she'd fall to the ground. For whatever reason it was, he was curious as to why he was scared about her falling. He sighed and turned his whole body around, his figure looming down over her as he gazed at her now frail looking body. He drew his lips into a fine line and grunted at her. "You also need blood, which one are you going to choose?" He said with an annoyed groan. Silly female vampires. He looked toward the sky, and he could sense the light was going to come up over the horizon soon. She would be the death of him.
Blue eyes flickered back to the Queen's face and he saw her narrowing eyes. "I'm going to tie you to a tree and let you burn so I don't have to worry about you anymore." He said with a roll of his eyes before bending down and picking her up to throw over his shoulder. Her closeness made him tense up, but as long as she didn't grab onto him, well he would deal with the uncomfortable feeling stirring within him. "It doesn't matter where we are going, as long as we get away from the sun that's coming up, you'll eventually thank me." He said with a grunt as her leg brushed against his chest. He gripped onto her tighter and in a blur he started to move toward his company building.
It didn't take nearly as long as it felt to run Liliana into his office. He had windows, but pressed a button on the wall next to his door, and the windows closed up in preparation for the morning and sunlit hours of the day. He slid the Queen into his big black office chair and he pulled out his cell. His voice was gruff while he spoke, and he gazed back at Liliana while he barked orders into the phone, he was surprised she was still awake. After hanging up, Maddox strode back toward her, arching a brow. "You can drink once Mr.Sawyer gets here with back up." He said with another clipped tone. Sawyer was his human bodyguard whom he trusted just as much as his fledglings. Maddox still didn't even think about letting her bite him, he wouldn't have it. Just the thought made him shiver and so he stepped away from her and waited for Sawyer.
Faster than Maddox thought was possible for a human, a knock was on the door and Maddox grunted, knowing who it was at this hour. The two heavy wood doors opened and Sawyer appeared, pushing a half conscious, half naked man to the floor. Maddox scented the blood, and refrained from feeding on the man himself. Sawyer looked up, nodded to Maddox, then looked to Liliana and arched a brow over his black shades that he wore no matter what time of day it was. Sawyer was an average looking man, short cropped brown hair, fit and dressed in a black suit and tie. "Can I get you anything else, Mr.Ehren?" He asked, moving his shaded eyes away from the ill female to his boss. The blond vampire looked at his human and shook his head. "No, thank you. Go to sleep. I will contact you in the morning if I need anything." He said, dismissing him.
Maddox inhaled a sharp breath, and then looked back to Liliana as the doors closed, forbidding the scent of blood to escape now. He walked forward, picked the man up by the shoulders and heaved him up on his desk. He looked lustfully at Liliana. "Eat." He purred in a husky voice, his blue eyes seeming to turn a shade darker....

[style=font-family: arial; font-size: 30px; text-shadow: 0px 2px 3px #666; color: #cccccc;]I CAN NOT BE FORSAKEN - - - because i'm not the only one "Yeah. okay..." Liliana said, her sarcasm finally breaking through her ill exterior as he threw her over his shoulder. She went to roll her eyes, but only succeeded in closing them. "Watch where you put your hands...." she said tiredly, though she knew that, should he decide to even grab her ass, she was too weak to do any damage to him.
A soft sigh escaped her as he set her down in his office chair. Sliding out of her jacket, Lily let it rest on the back of the chair before crossing her arms on top of the desk and resting her head upon them to keep it from spinning. She didn't look up as he spoke on the phone, nor did she acknowledge the man who entered the room. She just kept her eyes closed tight until the man was set down on the desk in front of her, causing her to jump.
The smell of blood was now filling the room and Liliana straightened up, attracted by the smell. She was ravenous, her green eyes sweeping up to Alexander for a moment when he spoke. In a blur of motion, Liliana was on top of the man on the desk, straddling him. The way she moved was almost sensual, so smooth, even as hungry as she was. Her self control was admirable as she slowly took in the scent of the man's blood, her nose barely grazing against his skin. He started to protest, scared out of his wits, but she made a soothing shushing noise and softly pressed her finger to his lips to silence him, her eyes gazing right into his as he fell into a dream like state.
Satisfied, Liliana's fangs shot out and she bit into his neck in a way that was rather pleasurable for the man. She wasn't rough or too eager, savoring the taste as she drank, her eyes shifting to gaze up at Maddox for just a moment. She had no intention of killing the man; she never did and she never had. Her gaze was just as lustful as his and she was honestly surprised that he resisted the urge to feed with her thus far. Her strength was returning to her slowly, her wounds now fully healing. Her shirt was still stained with blood though and one of her sleeves slid even more so down her arm, revealing more of her soft skin.

You're steady as I come undone
But I'll keep my promises, I won't let you down
His pupils dilated wider as he watched her feed off this man. She didn't do it quite like he did, which he found strange for one, but he didn't utter a single noise. Instead he watched her contently, watching her move across this man like she was trying to get him off. The thought made him smile slightly. He honestly had no interest in feeding alongside her for fear of her getting to touchy with him. And he quite frankly didn't share well anyway.
So instead he took a step or two backward, watching with a twitching lip as she fed from the man, her grueling pace made it hard for him not to snap the man's neck himself. He pursed his lips and then ran his fingers under his chin as he scratched it, smiling once again to himself but staying silent. "Not a messy eater now are we?" He said with a slight grunt, referring to how nice she was being...

[style=font-family: arial; font-size: 30px; text-shadow: 0px 2px 3px #666; color: #cccccc;]I CAN NOT BE FORSAKEN - - - because i'm not the only one Maddox's voice broke through to Liliana, pulling her out of her personal feeding ritual. Sitting up, she was still straddling the man on top of the desk. Licking a drop off blood off of her bottom lip, she smiled at the other vampire. "Why? Should I be?" she asked him, her fangs sliding back in. She felt content now and perfectly at ease. Pulling the man up by the front of his shirt so that he was now sitting, she looked him deeply in the eyes. "Leave," she said to him before getting off. Dazed, he left the room without looking back and Lily knew he wouldn't remember a thing. Vampires played some awfully good mind tricks.
"I prefer to enjoy my food. Would you rather see me snap a hooker's neck and drain her dry? That's disgusting. I don't eat dead things..." Sitting back on his desk, she crossed one leg over the other and arched a brow at him as she ran a hand through her auburn curls. "So what do we do now? Sit here all day while we hide from the sun, talk like BFFs and paint each other's nails while watching cheesy tween movies?" Her smile widened when she pictured Maddox Ehren doing such things.
Unzipping her boots, she pulled them off and set them neatly on the floor. "Do you have any shirts I could wear? I don't really like going around, looking as though I've murdered someone...." Even Liliana found it curious that she was speaking rationally with a man whose guts she hated. It was strange, really. Then again, Liliana was not particularly hard to get along with. Perhaps it was Illyri's longstanding prejudice against Rivorn that made this encounter seem so odd.

You're steady as I come undone
But I'll keep my promises, I won't let you down
Maddox narrowed his eyes when she sat up, her lips were distracting, and he didn't notice that he was staring right away, until she licked away the blood away. He almost jumped, cleared his throat and looked away quickly, shrugging at her question. He watched her, then watched the man leave the room, looking away and hearing the comforting sound of the door clicking closed behind the dazed man. Maddox swallowed dryly, and then ran his tongue along his teeth before looking back toward the Queen. "Who said you had to kill them first? I don't eat dead things either." He said with a rather large smirk planted on his face. Hooker really wasn't his thing either.
He went to walk away when she spoke again, and all he could do was arch his brow high and stare at her in disbelief. Did she really just throw sarcasm at him, he only imagined himself saying something like that. Her statement really through him off, to the point where he didn't really know what to say. He said with his jaw hanging for a second, staring at her with his crystal blue eyes before snapping his jaw shut and saying, "Well, if you don't have harlot red nail polish.. well, I'm not interested..." He said in a serious tone, before letting a smile fall over his face. The vampire shook his head slightly and then sighed. "If you wanna go outside, be my guest. But I thought we agreed on some sort of contract.. or at least that's what you proposed when you stormed into my office not too long ago." He stepped a foot or two closer to her, eyeing her body before looking at her face. "So if you could wait till after that's decided, then we can do all that fun stuff." He arched his brow once again as she made herself comfortable. For whatever reason, her taking off her boots distracted him more than he would have liked. It bothered him, so when she asked him for a shirt, he snapped out of his trance quickly and walked steadily into another room to grab her a black tee that he threw at her face. "Yeah, I hate blood." He said with another serious tone....

[style=font-family: arial; font-size: 30px; text-shadow: 0px 2px 3px #666; color: #cccccc;]I CAN NOT BE FORSAKEN - - - because i'm not the only one A light laugh sounded from Liliana's lips when Maddox mentioned that he wasn't interested unless she had harlot red nail polish. "Sorry, I'm fresh out of Harlot Red," she said, her green eyes following him about the room. She was beginning to think that he was bipolar, the way he would smile one minute and then be pissed off the next.
When he threw the shirt at her face, she was quick in catching it and gave him a sight look. "Are you sure you're a vampire?" she asked him, arching a slender brow. "I think that's the first time a vampire has told me that he hates blood..." She didn't know why she was getting under his skin. It was ridiculous, really. There she was, being nice to him than she ever had been, and he couldn't even come near her or smile for more than a minute. Everything she did seemed to induce some sort of disgusted reaction. Perhaps that was why Liliana chose not to leave the room to change.
Instead, the young, auburn haired vampire lifted her shirt over her head with him right there and pulled it off before throwing it into the trash can. Lily was in no way a slut. If anything, she was the complete opposite, but Maddox made her overly curious. Curious to the point that she was now stripping in front of him. She didn't stop with just her shirt either. Unbuttoning her jeans, she slid out of them, revealing her slender form and her gray underwear with the saying "Easy Tiger" on the butt. Her bra matched her underwear, showing a tiger paw cleverly over each breast.
Sliding the black shirt over her head, Lily pulled it down to cover her torso. It was big on her, but not at all unappealing. The shirt reached about fingertip length and, as she sat down in his spinny chair, she leaned back in it and propped her feet up on his desk. Narrowing her eyes, she awaited his reaction and gave him a small smile. She was certainly a daring creature.
"Shall we then?" she asked him, ready to finally come to an agreement with him. They had a number of things to address in terms of their peace treaty. "I'm anxious to watch Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen with you..." She rolled her eyes and waited for his response and for him to get out whatever paperwork he had drawn up.

You're steady as I come undone
But I'll keep my promises, I won't let you down
The blond vampire stared at her for longer than he meant to, smirking at her and then laughing. "I don't like to be out of control. Getting blood all over me only encourages it." He said with a lower tone, shifting his icy blue eyes away from the Queen and toward the closed windows. They were set to shut when the light was just about to show, and he sighed lightly, wishing he had something to look at instead of the distracting female.
If he was feeling anything by her undressing, he didn't show it. He just watched, the only thing giving anything away would be the fact that his eyes scorched every inch of her body in an almost greedy way. He made no noise, took no step forward, nor did he take his gaze off of her. After she was situated and back in his chair, the older vampire grunted lightly and took steps toward her till he reached the front of his own desk. He placed his hands down on the cold wood, putting pressure on it as he leaned forward over his desk, muscles rippling beneath his skin as he gazed at the various stack of papers on his desk. "Well. Um. I didn't really have anything to sign.. I figure we could make it up as we go along." He said in a very non-professional way. The words tasted unfamiliar and acid-like on his tongue, what was this red head doing to him?
He sucked in a breath of air, arching his brow at her comment about a movie. "Seems to me like you know too much about teen age girl stuff. He smiled lightly, finding himself teasing her like a child. He was closer to her now, the closest he let himself get to her while she was well fed and able to move without falling over. The thought made him twitch slightly.

[style=font-family: arial; font-size: 30px; text-shadow: 0px 2px 3px #666; color: #cccccc;]I CAN NOT BE FORSAKEN - - - because i'm not the only one Lily wasn't at all bothered by the fact that he didn't have any papers drawn up yet. If anything, she preferred it. It would give them the chance to put their heads together for once and would make things more fair. Putting her feet back on the floor, she wheeled the chair in closer, resting her elbow on the desk and holding up her head.
A smile crossed her pretty face at his comment and she shrugged her shoulders. "The teenage mind and how it's changed since my day intrigues me," she said, sighing. "You can't blame me for being curious. To be honest though, I don't see how some of those tween movies can be so appealing. They lack a little something called passion...."
Clearing her throat, Lily realized that he had managed to distract her, something that didn't happen to often. "Right... where were we?" She looked up at him, lifting her chin from her hand and crossing one bare leg over he other. "I think the first thing we need to do is set up certain rules for the fledglings..." Looking down, she tried to ignore the rippling of his muscles as his large frame loomed over her, causing her face to flush. Lily had been with few men, or rather, vampires, and for good reason. Whenever she trusted a man, they either died... or attempted to brutally murder and rape her. "Do you have a pen I could borrow?"

You're steady as I come undone
But I'll keep my promises, I won't let you down
Maddox reached around and pulled a pen from his cup of pens on his desk that was inches away from her. He had a playful smirk on his face before handing it off to her. "Maybe the rule for that is, 'don't pick fights you can't win'." He said with a low grunt, annoyed with both his own and her fledglings for fighting a battle that wasn't really they're problem. His eyes darkened and he started to spew off a bunch of rules he thought was right, and then ones he actually asked whether she thought was fair or not....
By the time Maddox was out of ideas, he was lying on his black leather couch, shoes off, knees up, one arms hanging off the couch while the other rested lazily on his chest. His blue eyes stared up on the ceiling and his chest rose at an even pace as he thought of more and more ideas. He realized later on he was just saying stuff to hear the sound of her voice, or the trill of her laugh. He was still dressed up in his work outfit, and he was soon pulling at the collar of his dress shirt. He wanted to be comfortable like she was, but that would leave him feeling out of control once again. He couldn't have that, not now. Not with her here.
Taking in a long breath through his nostrils, Maddox then sighed. "And.... I can't think of anything else to add to it." The blond vampire sat silent for a moment, thinking about what he was doing. His mind wandered to the future, and what was to come next. Why did he agree to this? He was confused as to why, and he hoped to god it wasn't just the pretty red head's looks that distracted him. He suddenly sat up halfway, using his arms to push him upward so he could see her over the desk, writing at a fast pace. Maddox's blue eyes traveled from her lips, and the way they were set when she was concentrating, to the furrow in her brows when she heard him stop talking. Why was he fascinated with her all of sudden? It bothered him, and he grunted and looked away. "What do we do know? Take a blood oath or something?" He said in a mocking kind of way.

[style=font-family: arial; font-size: 30px; text-shadow: 0px 2px 3px #666; color: #cccccc;]I CAN NOT BE FORSAKEN - - - because i'm not the only one Liliana smiled at his joke, pressing the end of the pen to her soft lips and peering at the agreements for a moment. They both had what they wanted and, should their fledglings get out of hand again, it was decided that it would be down to both of them to settle on punishments... together, in order to avoid prejudice. Sitting there for a moment in silence, her green eyes suddenly shot up.
An instant later, she was by his side, having dropped the pen on the table. Her hands were on her hips and she looked down at him, completely serious. "Let's do it... let's make a blood oath..." she said to him. If her heart was still beating, it would have been pounding at the prospect of such an idea. Blood oaths were powerful and there was no going back on the promise. Lily had never made a blood oath, but she had witnessed them before.
"Just hear me out," she said, holding out her hands before Maddox could object. "How are our fledglings and masters going to take this pact seriously if they don't think we do? What better way to make this official than to swear it on our blood?" She knew that the oath would draw a link between them until the end of time and that, should either of them break the oath... well, that person would meet the true death. So long as she held up her end of the bargain though, she was fine.
"Let's do it..." Lily knew she was sticking him between a rock and a hard place, but it was the best way to make sure that they were both in on the treaty between Rivorn and Illyri. Lily's green eyes bore down on him, waiting for his response. She knew the risks involves, but she was putting Illyri before herself.
